Sophie spayed today.

Sophie went to Florida Aid to Animals at 0800 this morning. We picked her up at 2pm. She has been groggy all afternoon. Not ready to drink or eat as I write this. She did go void once, probably her IV fluid. I hope to give her vet ibuprofen tonight if I can get her to take in some food and fluids. She is content to sleep. Bless her heart, she just wants to be with, and sleep. So precious is this little labradoodle that has stolen our hearts.
Sooo tired post surgery.

Surgery makes her very tired.

Incision looks good.

Hello, I am tired.

Just too sleepy to interact.

Beach Day at Mel Beach as I call it.

Took the girls to the beach today. Kahlua loves to catch frisbee and swim. Poor Sophie; she got caught in the excitement, but was still shy getting in the water. She got drenched by a wave and took it well. The ocean is still rough. Both got a bath after and seemed to be satisfied with all this workout of ocean play and bath. I walked the beach today. Pictures reflect the walk, not the dog play,  since I cannot photograph and play at the same time. After hurricanes is the best time for shelling. Found me three nice ones.
Ahh!

Ahh times 2.

Loving it.

Love the cranes.

Sophie's First Trip To Melbourne Beach

Traveled to Melbourne Beach today to visit our old home and friends. Sophie still had a small upchuck close to destination, even though I gave her some dramamine this morning.  She is growing, so I may not have given her enough dosage. She travels much better with the dramamine. I am hoping she outgrows this car sickness. Sophie is getting spayed on Tuesday at Florida Aid to Animals. They have spayed my last 2 dogs and they do it so well, and cheaply. I believe they use laser now, so her recovery should be even easier. The Motor Home is small, so she will not have to cover as much territory this week after her surgery. The beach is such a nice getaway. I am hoping to take Sophie and Kahlua to the beach tomorrow (before Sophie's surgery) for a little frisbee throw, a swim, and a bath. This park sustained a lot of damage to the docks on the river. The rest survived pretty well. There have been so many improvements here since our last visit in the spring; it looks fabulous. Nice to be back. I hope Sophie likes it as much as I do.

Our spot of heaven for the week.

Yeah, we are settled for today.

Keeping her eye on thing around here at ORA.
