Survived Hurricane Mathew

We prepared and decided to stay through this Category 3-4 Hurricane Mathew. Praise God and all our prayer warriors who moved the hurricane 25 miles out to sea. That was huge for us, since we are directly in line with the Space Center. It lost steam and moved a little which spared us worse winds. We have been through many hurricanes, and this one was 6 hours of terror. As I remember they all are. Sophie got a taste of her first hurricane, and she came through with flying colors! She peed and pooped as needed when the winds were not so fierce. No messes. She played with Kahlua, which relieved my older dog's stress. They slept with me in the storm shelter under our stairs. I slept little, but they were comforted by the closet and safety provided. After the storm, last night we fired up the generator in our Motor Home next door and watched TV on antenna and slept in AC till 0130 am when we notice the port light on,..power. So we moved back into the house. We are grateful and feel so fortunate to have gone through this unscathed.
